Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania

The three Baltic Republics – Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Picturesque Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the delightful world.

In the geographic sense, the Baltic sea is splashing the coasts of Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Russia, and Poland,

in this case, under the term of the Baltic countries will be considered the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania.

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania constitute three distinct sovereign republics situated in North-central Europe on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea and are members of the European Union, of NATO, the Eurozone and the OECD.

The presentation of the present situation of the three Baltic republics is inspiring by their geographic position and significant geopolitical changes which they have undergone during last three decades: getting the independence in the year 1991, joining the European Union on 2004 and staying in it. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are between Scandinavia, Slavic East and the countries of the European Union which surround them on other cardinal points.

The Estonians belong to Baltic-Finland group, but the Latvians and Lithuanians belong to the Baltic group of people. Official languages are Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian. The Baltic countries cover the area of 175,015 km2. According to estimation from the year 2016, in the three Baltic countries were 6,121,000 inhabitants.

The three Baltic republics – Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania – have little in common except physical geographical characteristics.
